Hikes in South Wales
There are so many places to explore, with such a variety of landscapes to experience in South Wales when on foot.
The most famous of them all obviously is the Brecon Beacons National Park,
now called it's Welsh name 'Bannau Brychieninog'.
There are the glorious peaks of the mountains, but equally as remote and breath-taking, are the forests, valleys, hills, streams, villages, ancient monuments & reservoirs which are in the national park as well.

The Brecon Beacons
This famous landscape with spectacular peaks is a walker's heaven!

There are plenty of hills, valleys, & waterfalls to find, challenging your legs as much as you want to, and taking in the glorious views all around. The Black Mountains
The Black Mountain range sits in the Brecon Beacons National park in South Wales to the east of the Beacons.
There are remote valleys with ancient churches, monuments, streams and forests everywhere here, all set under mountain ridges forming a beautiful backdrop.
Why not come and explore the Vale of Eywas with it's ruined priory with us, or Llangorse lake, or the famous 'witch's pool' waterfall above Talgarth town?
There is so much to see in this part of the park, and usually you have the place more or less to yourself!
The Usk Valley
The Usk river and the Brecon to Monmouth canal wind their way through this beautiful valley though the national park., both of which have footpaths to find, making a valley walk a great option. There are also hills to climb near Talybont-on-Usk & Llangyndir villages giving you views to wow you!
