At just 3.5 miles, this route offers fascinating history, stunning Wye Valley views, and peaceful old pathways, making it the perfect morning walk for both locals and visitors—including those in town for the Hay Festival!
We’ll begin by visiting Neolithic burial stones, an ancient and atmospheric site with sweeping views over Hay-on-Wye and the Wye Valley below. Our return journey takes us on a gentle descent over privately owned rolling pastures, offering a different perspective on the wild beauty of the borderlands.
