About the event

Step into the evening light for a stunning circular walk from Llangasty, overlooking the serene Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

This 3.5-4.5 mile route follows an ancient Roman road, gradually leading us to the summit of Allt Yr Esgair, an Iron Age hill fort with breathtaking panoramic views.

From the top, gaze out over Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains, while on the other side, admire the winding River Usk and the Beacons, including Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. With the golden light of the evening casting a magical glow, this is an unmissable summer walk.

Led at an easy, sociable pace by a professional walk leader, this 2-hour adventure is perfect for locals and visitors alike. Afterward, you're welcome to bring a packed supper and join us for an informal picnic at the end.
